H Floor Session: HB 52, PFD Allowable Absence, passed the House. HB 69, Exempt Firearms from Federal Regulation, passed the House but was held under reconsideration until Wednesday. The following bills were introduced: HB 141, Workers’ Compensation Medical Fees; and, HB 142, Stipend for Statewide Boarding School.

H Education: The committee heard a presentation on “Charter Schools in Alaska” by the Department of Education and Early Development.

H Resources: HB 72, Oil and Gas Production Tax, and HB 99, Extend Alaska Minerals Commission, were heard and held.

H Finance: HB 24, Self Defense, was heard and held.

H Judiciary: HB 34, Federal Laws, Regulations & Executive Orders, was heard and held, while HB 63, Extend Bar Association Board of Governors, moved out of committee.

H Labor & Commerce: HB 102, Retirement Plans; Roth IRAs; Probate, was heard and held.
