House Special Committee on Military & Veterans Affairs Chair Carl Gatto(r), R-Palmer, conversing with ADMVA commissioner-designee Brid. Gen. Thomas Katkus(l). The committee voted today to forward Gen. Katkus’ name on to the full State House for confirmation. Chair Gatto noted that he has a two decade-plus history with the general, stemming from their time spent occasionally working together in Anchorage, Gatto as a paramedic and Katkus as a police officer.
