House Finance Committee discussion on HB 280, the Cook Inlet Recovery Act, today at the Capitol. Committee Co-Chair Mike Hawker(far right, facing), R-Anchorage, sponsored the bill, and offered a pair of technical amendments. Hawker aide Larry Persily (next to Rep. Hawker, facing) and consultant Roger Marx presented the bill, which was held over to tomorrow morning. Persily is leaving state service tomorrow, traveling to Washington, D.C. to become the Federal Coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects.
