HB 280, the Cook Inlet Recovery Act, proposes a 10-year tax exemption to owners of new natural gas storage facilities brought online before December 2015, and provides statutory guidance to the Regulatory Commission of Alaska, or RCA, in its consideration of utility gas supply contracts to help ensure adequate supplies of reasonably priced gas to Inlet consumers.
