Legislative Update

Hello All,

Just a reminder regarding public testimony on the Operating Budget and Mental Health Budget:

Because of the high number of testifiers expected, the length of individual remarks will be limited to two minutes.

Those living in communities without LIOs can call in to give testimony tomorrow (Tuesday, March 1st) between 2:45 and 3:45 p.m. The number to call is 855-463-5009. Because of the limited number of these "offnet" lines, we have been asked to remind our constituents that calling in is reserved for people without access to an LIO.

Testimony from both the Dillingham and Unalaska LIOs will be taken between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2nd. (The precise time is hard to say, since LIOs in Sitka, Wrangell, Petersburg, and Cordova are also included during this hour.) Please be sure you arrive at your LIO by at least 3:45, because the committee may close testimony 15 minutes early at LIOs where no one is waiting to speak.
