A Summary of News & Events from Alaska's State House for Friday - 01/27/12
H Floor Session: The House unanimously passed HB 131, Community & Transportation Advisory Board, by Rep. Cathy Muñoz. The following legislation was introduced: HB 299, Civil Legal Services Fund, was introduced by Rep. Thompson and referred to Judiciary and Finance, HB 300, Geographic Cola for Justices and Judges, by the Rules Committee was referred to Labor & Commerce and Finance, HB 301, Extend Sunset of Boating Regulation, by Rep. Austerman was referred to Labor & Commerce, and HB 302, Repeal Pick-Click-Give Audit Requirement, by Rep. Seaton was referred to Finance.
H Education: The committee heard two bills; HB 282, Military Training Credit/Temp. License, moved out of committee, while HB 145, K-12 Scholarship Program, was heard and held.
H Resources: House Resources heard an update on Renewable Energy Projects and Technology.
H Labor & Commerce: The committee heard SB 92, Dentists/Dental Hygienists/Assistants, no action was taken on the bill.
H FIN Subcommittee Fish & Game: The committee heard from the department regarding their Missions, Measures, and Results.
