Representatives Bob Herron, D-Bethel, and Bryce Edgmon, D-Dillingham, talk with Alaska Redistricting Board Chairman John Torgerson (center) as they look over a map of current House districts today at the Capitol. The Board held a "Pre-Planning" meeting in Juneau today to take public testimony on the 2010 U.S. Census data released earlier this month. More meetings are planned through April 14, when a preliminary redistricting plan is due. The board meets following the decennial census to redraw the state's 40 house districts and 20 senate districts based on population.
