Harris Congratulates Dennis
Egan as Juneau's Next Senator |
(Juneau) - Former House Speaker John Harris today congratulated Dennis Egan for his appointment and confirmation to the Alaska State Senate representing Juneau.
"Senator Egan will follow in the footsteps of his father, former Gov. Bill Egan from Valdez, and do good things for the Capital City and the rest of the state," Harris said. "The citizens of Juneau are lucky to have someone of his caliber to step in on such short notice to be their next senator.
"If Dennis had been appointed sooner, when it was first suggested," Harris added, "Juneau would have won approval of funding for a new state building at the old subport by now." |
