“An Act relating to sexual assault, sexual abuse of a minor, and online enticement of a minor.”

Section 1. Amends AS 11.41.434(a)
Adds new language stating that a person who is 18 years of age or older cannot engage in sexual penetration with a person who is under 18 years of age and at least four years younger than the offender.
Section 2. Amends AS 11.41.436(a)
Changes language regarding those 17 years of age or older who engage in sexual penetration.
Removes the position of authority clause for those 18 years of age or older.
Section 3. Amends AS 11.41.438(a)
Changes language regarding those 17 years of age or older who engage in sexual contact.
Section 4. Amends AS 12.55.125(i)
Adds language to include online enticement of a minor committed by a person required to register under AS 12.63 or a similar law.
Section 5. Amends AS 12.63.100(6)
Includes in the list former AS 11.41.440(a)(2) that states: being 18 years of age or older, the offender engages in sexual contact with a person who is 16 or 17 years of age and at least three years younger than the offender, and the offender occupies a position of authority in relation to the victim.
Section 6. Repeals AS 11.41.440(a)(2)
A section of statute that deals with sexual abuse of a minor in the fourth degree (See above)
Section 7. Applicability
This Act applies to offenses committed on or after the effective date of this Act.
