Bill Version: CSHB 226(TRA)
Status: Chapter 89 SLA 10 : 2010-06-17
Alaska has one of the nation's largest per-capita populations of veterans. These are the true heroes of Alaska, men and women who have served in the armed forcers of our great country to keep us free.
CS for House Bill 226 is an opportunity for us as a legislature to say thank you for keeping America and Alaska free. Thank you for interrupting your life to serve at home and abroad. Thank you for offering to make the supreme sacrifice for your country.
Upon passage of CSHB 226, Bogard, Seldon and East Colony Schools Roads will become Veteran's Way. In addition to honoring our veterans the name change will also provide an easier understanding of directions as this one road will have one name rather than the current three names. We urge your passage of this bill in support of our veterans.
